The 2.5-ton (4x4) FMTV is designated as the Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), while the 5-ton (6x6) is designated the Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV). In service from 1996 to present. These vehicles are being produced by Oshkosh Corporation (around 36000 to date).

 These models are comparable to the 1/87 scale Roco / Herpa Minitanks. They are the same size/scale.
