United States, M548 Tracked Cargo Carrier.

Arsenal-M, Minitanks 224100101. (Roco, Minitanks 289). New 1/87 Scale Plastic Kit.

Based on the M113 APC chassis. Used as ammunition transporter in units equipped with

the M109 self-propelled howitzer.

The M548 tracked cargo carrier is an unarmored variant of the M113 APC. This vehicle was developed in 1965. It is a general-purpose transport vehicle, intended to carry cargo or ammunition to forward areas. This tracked carrier is no longer in service with the US Army.

This item is an unassembled and unpainted resin kit. Paint, glue, and decals are not included but can be purchased separately.

The factory photos may show it as a fully assembled and painted model.

Arsenal M Minitanks M548 Cargo Carrier

I have been building these Minitanks vehicles for a long time. At first it would come with a set of 203mm
and 175mm artillery rounds, all loose. Then later they were removed. In the US Army you can see this
vehicle in the EW units, Artillery, Engineers, SP Mortar PLT and Mech Infantry BTL's. The M548 has been
used by 20 other nations.
Right before Arsenal M took over, Minitanks started selling their models in kits form. There were some
big surprises in the new yellow box. It seems that Arsenal M in their orange box has kept the same
format.
