Based on the M113, this vehicle has been around since the 1960's and is still in front line service today. It's primary function is to serve as a mobile command center to commanders in the field. The model by Herpa MiniTanks comes most assembled with the exception of some optional accessories. I painted mine in Tamiya light sand.
